We are so excited to announce that we have majority support for the union. This means a strong majority of Hearst Magazines employees, from 28 brands across print and digital editorial, photo, video, design, and social teams, have signed union cards to show that they support the union. This is great work, and as your organizing committee, we are so proud to be working alongside you.
We will share updates as we get them, and in the meantime, please contact us with any questions and ideas. And remember: get active and get involved! We want to hear from you, because the union is all of us and YOU have a voice here. We are stronger together.
We anticipate management (your EIC, Brooke, Kate, maybe even Troy) may start talking to people this week about our efforts to unionize. This is normal and we are prepared for it. We want you to feel empowered to speak up—remember, we all have a legal right to organize, and the only reason we are doing so is to create a better workplace now and for the future.
